The requirements for being a judge were discussed here the other day. I don't recall completely, but I thought someone found that one doesn't have to be a lawyer to be a judge. I wonder if that's correct, and if so, would disbarment have any effect, direct or indirect, on his job as judge?

I think Greer's position requires an active law license, but I don't know for certain.

He wouldn't need to be disbarred anyway because he never took the oath of office. It would be VERY hard to get him disbarred anyway because the bar association in Clearwater is dominated by scientology.

Well, we see that another florida judge would not listen to the protests of a family and caused the death of a couple; and their 5 year old had to see them laying in a pool of blood!

Florida....the worst place in the world. If you live there: Get out! If your parents live there: get them out! Arizona is a much better place.
