Exactly. As I reflect upon your comments, I would add in passing what was once dark satire has now become closer to becoming a post modern dystopia. We've been lucky to keep our freedom for so long. But an easily cowed people will not for long retain that for which their ancestors fought. It brings to mind one of my oft favorite passages from Edmund Burke, which is well worth reiterating here: "Those who do not look backwards to their ancestors will neither look forward to their posterity." That is if any will still enjoy the liberties that we have taken for granted.
