I think Terri's case was used to pave the way for hospices to euthanize the incapacitated whether due to age or disability. The nexus between the hospice, Felos, Shames, Project Care or whatever it's called and the legislature is just too tidy. Euthanasia could be a very profitable industry in a state such as Florida.

Does anyone know if Felos is a scientologist?

Felos is a New Age mystic (a search into this about him provides interesting and creepy insight into his personality and motives) but it has been suggested by more than one person that there are scientology ties to this case. And who knows, maybe Felos has some of his own too. A quick google of "Felos" and "scientology" definitely nets some results.

Here's a FR thread that I bookmarked for interest a couple weeks ago and forgot all about it until you asked about Felos - Scientology, The Clearwater Bar Association and Judge Greer. I haven't read it yet, but I believe I will now.

Why do you ask anyway? Have you found that scientology has come up in other similar situations? Or do you ask just because it's FL - I know the Lisa McPhearson case was in Clearwater also.
