I am in Bangkok in a 14th floor condo. The quake was VERY noticeable here. We were watching a movie and my girlfriend noticed the room moving. It kept swaying and we headed down the stairs. We just came back up to the room.
Must have been a good movie to cause that.

Me too!! But, I'm in Jersey...
You know, I've watched them building high rise condos in BKK ... they pour a floor, stick in some rebar to make load bearing columns, then pour another floor, repeat. Personally, I would not want to be in such as structure in an earthquake. I know, I know, we even have buildings getting built that way now in the US, but I guess I am just a good old, steel girder kind of guy. Not to freak you out or anything! ;) ....
