I've been thinking about all the Jeb bashing going on the last couple of days. I to have felt like equating his lack of action with Pilate's treatment of Christ. However, IF he would have "laid it on the table" so to speak, and had gone in there to get Terri with force, how do you all think that would have played out? I mean, wouldn't there have been a strong possibility of a firefight between LEOs? Anyhow, would like to hear others thoughts on this.

I think the fact that Jeb didn't act shows us how corrupt the system is that the police, etc. that he should've been able to use to take Terri into custody weren't available to him.
But I don't think it is evidence that Jeb is corrupt or a coward.
After all, it is because of Jeb that her family had Terri these last two years.

This has been my concern too. I think that his hands are tied so long as this situation persists. Even if the protesters left the hospice, there would still be patients and staff to worry about (to say nothing of the LEO s themselves). I think our job must be to stiffen his spine afterwards--he cannot let Florida be ruled by a crazy judge and a rebellious police force. We must also keep after Congress and the President.
I know many here have talked about leaving the Republican party. If you do that, you will be handing victory to the Left. Consider the possibility that Satan is using this awful event to create dissension among the forces arrayed against him.

This is the stuff of history. Jeb Bush is in a position to make a difference. If he sends in the National Guard (I don't really know if he can), the LEOs might back down, and who knows how many of the local officers wish that the Guard would show up to give them an out?
But we should remember that there are new training programs being used, in which applicants are asked if once on duty, if they're ordered to open fire into a crowd of American citizens, would they obey? Those who answer in the affirmative proceed with training. Those who answer in the negative do not proceed. Whether the LEOs are among such soldier-mercenaries is another question.
There would be a stand-off. Such situations are not unheard of in our past. One possible consequence is something called "civil war" but it has little to do with civility. Jeb Bush would be putting his life on the line for a principle he believes in. Not long ago, Americans used to say, "he's a man of principles." That would be an honorable thing. Would we respect him for it? I would.
Anyone else?
