The alternative is not particpating in the political system on the grounds that whatever outcome is chosen by the voters makes no practical difference -- only philosophical debating points are truly at stake.
Exactly. As someone previously posted days ago...we're all just frogs in boiling water, it's just the GOP has it a lower temperature. So, really, what difference does it make which side you're on...the end result will be the same, it's just a matter of time.

I don't take that view. I think if the masses of Consertives sit on their hands and do not vote they they are agreeing with the other side.
Thankfully, most I have talked with outside of FR.. are even more determined to vote Republican because our Republican party in Congress..... voted to give her a chance. The Judges.. who many are Republican... in name only, along with the choice of Michael Schiavo have caused the final conclusion.
I for one.. will vote.. I will not only vote... I will make my voice heard. I have always done this in my 45 years and I will continure.... to say I give up... is to give in to the others point of view..... that is throwing in the towel, and I have 2 kids who I want better for them than to give up on our judicial system and the right to vote!!!
