The short of it......My teenage son who just turned 17, wears a purity ring, doesn't drink, who's homeschooled, never misses church, won a spot on the Junior US Recurve Archery team. They are in Aalborg, Denmark, where they just competed against 50 other countries. Last night was their last night and they had a get together with all of their hotel room doors open...wait, I'm getting ahead of myself.

He never called home yesterday, so we were worried. I called a little bit ago...a girl, groggily answers the phone. I ask for my son, she hangs up on me. I call again. I hear snoring. Phone goes dead. I call again. Son answers, half asleep. "Why is there a girl in your room son?" "There's LOTS of girls in the room mom." Ok...that makes me feel better. "We kinda had a wild night last night and everybody is everywhere." Ok...

Oh gee, what a predicament you are in. I am sure they are truly just all flopped out from being tired, etc. Have faith in your son. Then, if you must, do your duty when he comes home. Don't scold him now, he still has to get home and you don't want to have said something harsh over the phone.

LOL I have been through this. If the kid is good, he will have done the right thing. Just wait till college, you won't want to hear the stories. Remember those days? Try to sleep well. I am sorry, I can't help laughing.

I know it seems, and is, disappointing to you, but I am sure your son is a good fellow. After all, you are a FReeper aren't you. We don't raise "No junk!" Congratulations to you for getting him involved in something like archery. And what an experience, going to Denmark. He will have lots to tell you. (chuckle) Peace in your household tonight.
