Lord, I know from your word
what is right
and how you would have us live,
but so much darkness covers the land,
and as we see evil,
our hearts ache for ways to change darkness into light.
Help us Lord
to listen to you,
to do the right thing,
the thing you want,
even if it's different from what our heart is crying out to do.
Let us do your will,
not ours,
for ours leads down to the valley of death,
and only you hold the keys of life.
Be with all of us
who are aching for Terri,
with her family,
with all who hold your way dear,
and give us your healing, strength and love,
this day,
and always,
in the name of Jesus,
