Why are people coming to help Terri so late??????????????

I think I read an explanation by cripplecreek that is what I thought was with some people. That some people didn't want to pay attention, or that on the surface it appeared to be a suffering woman who needed to be 'let go'. As Terri fights, she's fighting not only for herself, but for all of us. People are realizing this is a person being starved and dehydrated and not a 'vegetable'. Some people are just beginning to wake up to the reality that in the United States of America, we are starving and dehydrated a fellow human being to death.

Then of course there are the ones who will oppose anything if a republican or pro-lifer happens to support. And, of course, we have our own group that would let her die so long as the "law" is followed. One bizarre explanation is that the people protesting at the hospice are ruining the pro-life movement, yet they go on the attack for just about any support of Terri, not just criticizing the protest attendees. Imagine that, supporting the death of a person so that you can call yourself pro-life.

But then again, I must be a DU moonbat so what do I know?

Please don't buy the media spin that the pro-life movement is the only representative group at hospice. I came to Terri's Fight because of my legal background and I knew George Greer was off his rocker. Terri has her own base and it cuts across all lines.
