Yes, that is Nat Hentoff, who is a long-time journalist, of 50 years, last night he was on something and is enraged by what's happening to Terri.
I think he had a column in the Wash. Times yesterday too.
Oh, it was on Laura Ingraham's show that I heard him yesterday.

"""this is getting wierder by the minute...""" I'll have to look it up. But there is a Scripture that says something like.....
"Come and I will show you things eyes have not seen".....
I guess this is one of those kinds of things....;-)

The Village Voice piece was written by Nat Hentoff (leftist, atheist and I think former head of the ACLU). It isn't all that unusual for him to disagree with most of his colleagues on the left-- I find we're on the same side pretty often. He seems to be a very decent human being.

Good and evil cross all party/political/ideological lines.
Some say Terri is a divider. Some say she's a uniter. I say she's both.
Her life is being used to divide every camp along the lines of who values life and freedom, and who loves death and tyranny. The people who value life are walking away from their camps, and joining forces with each other. In that sense, Terri's being used as a uniter.
In political terms: a new coalition is forming.
In religious terms: Those who hate God love death --- dividing the wheat from the chaff, sheep from the goats --- "come out of her, my people".
And that's my ramble for this evening...
