IMO the reason Jeb Bush wont appoint a special prosecutor or empanel a grand jury is because the corruption goes all the way to the top----and into his office

Hate say it Scoop, but I heard the breaks in Congress squealing to halt in a rather fast fashion today. I would hate to surmise any further than that at this time.

I expect it does. In the corporate world, the tone is always set by the CEO. It starts at the top and flows down through the ranks. Jeb is the "CEO" of the State of Florida, so it stands to reason.

Republicans need to realize that corrupt GOP officials are NPOISONN. They need to be prosecuted--not protected.

If Republicans prosecute corrupt officials, people will see that they put integrity over power, and the surviving officials will become stronger for it. If they refuse, the public will see that the party is nothing but a bunch of crooks. Look at what happened in Illinois as a result of the party's decision to protect a crook in 1998. Six years on, and the party is still going downhill.
