Though her own faith may not matter so much, she is suffering a classic Christian death for the crime of living. Surely this will inspire many others, and who knows what visions and miracles will happen someday by praying for her.

"What purpose would that serve? Just asking."

'To glorify God', is the answer to that.

Sorry, I'm not a Catholic and don't believe that praying for dead people does anything, especially miracles.

Not meant to be offensive, to each his own, I just never quite understood why people should pray for someone already in heaven and how that person moves God hand to perform a miracle when God is sovereign.

She is not being killed for practicing her Christian faith. This is not martyrdom for which a person becomes a saint.
I'm curious, What do you think others will be inspired to do?
Praying for her will produce visions and miracles? This sounds like you would turn Terri into an idol to be worshipped.
How does this glorify God?
Is this orthodox Catholic belief?
