yes, you me and darkwolf agree..........cooler heads should prevail and emotions are now throwing caution into the wind and overruliing our clear thinking, law abiding minds...like it or not, we can't just chuck the law and take over......in that case there is a plasma TV that I"ll be stealing tonight
The issue in this case has always been that her wishes were FAR from clear, and she hasn't received due process. I think she should be saved, but I'd ask this of those demanding the government officials simply dispense with the rules: Don't you think the families of people on Death Row feel just as justified? I don't seem to recall any such compassion for lawbreaking on their part.
And no, Terri isn't a criminal--my point is she's being TREATED as one. She's innocent. But some folks whose loved ones are being gassed feel precisely the same way in their cases--and THAT is what this thread is largely about, FEELING, not fact, not law.
Once we decide laws don't apply to us because we "just know" we're right, well, why should anyone respect any law they don't "feel" is right? Will you be saying "Oh, hey, if you really FEEL the law shouldnt be respected, go right ahead"? Doubt it.
