Whether home or away, our hearts stand Vigil for our beloved friend, Terri ... that You might take words of comfort and assurance to her where we cannot. Unite her beloved family with her in spirit, if they cannot be with her in her final moments. Thank You, Merciful Father, for the love centered around this mother's child ... thank You, O God, that she passed our way without ever leaving the confines of her prison. Usher her into Glory at the appointed hour. Never will man again harm her, for she is free. The moment she escapes the shackles of her prison is the moment the Merchants of Death are imprisoned, for they did not repent. May they cry out to You, O Lord, for salvation, for You are their only escape.
How extraordinarily difficult it is to leave our beloved Terri ... how we weep for her agony ... how we continue to pray to her last breath that she will be called back from the brink of death ... how we share her family's desire to love and protect her still. In the end, Merciful Father, we do as we did in the beginning ... we acknowledge that in Your hand is the life of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind.
