" I wasn't sure where to post this, but I have a question for anyone... When the soul leaves the body, the body dies, right? Or is it the spirit?

I think one good thing to come out of this tragedy is maybe it is getting people to think about things like the soul, spirit, etc. The body decays unless you're a very unusually holy person. The soul leaves the body at death and in Catholic tradition goes to Purgatory, to "get cleaned up" before presenting itself to our Lord in heaven. There are two judgements as I understand it...the judgement that comes right at death....heaven or hell. Like I mentioned, if it's heaven then "purgatory" comes before entering heaven. Some may go straight to heaven. There are ways this can be achieved. Then there is the general judgement at the end of the world. This is when all will be called out of their graves and if going to heaven, will have their "glorified bodies" united with their souls in heaven. Hope that helps. I can direct anyone interested to specific resources if necessary....offline or whatever.

I'm getting the feeling that Terri's fight is our fight also. We're searching for truth and fighting the evil in the world as best we can. Some of us are not too well equiped for battle and need a little more "armor". There have been several in this forum graciously helping by freely handing out some armor to those in need.

The "steps to prepare", to be fully armed and strengthened for the things which are coming upon the earth.

Humbly submitted.
