Thank you for your precious words of comfort. Like most of us, I just don't know what to say anymore and share the same feelings of despair, frustration and anger that many of you might feel. Tears are all I have left.
I am not angry at God. I am frustrated and asking Him why, though. I am angry at the system and the lawmakers who promote death. I am angry at those who see human life as disposable. I am angry at those who think they can play God. I am angry at a judicial system that used hearsay evidence to condemn an innocent woman to death. I am angry her husband, in name only, who has been so cruel to her and her family and for now is getting away with it. I am angry at a media that so distorts truth and the people who belive the lies. I long to hear the trumpet sound.
When I was reading Psalms earlier today I read something in the footnotes of my Bible for the last verse of Ch. 9. It read:
"Those who realize they need God's help and turn to Him will receive it. If we think we are in control of our destiny and the destinies of others, we have a terrible surprise in store. One day God will step in a demonstrate who is really in contol."
I've been asking myself all day if God would want us to try to change things in this world. We are not supposed to be of this world. We already know what the ending of the story is. I've been praying and asking God for guidance. Not sure if I should be trying to change the government anymore. Perhaps we should focus on just loving others and discipling. I just don't know anymore. The "normal" things I used to do every day just seem so trivial now.
