I believe it was Pegita who posted in 2003 that never has a euthanasia order been overturned in the USA. Another poster today actually said euthanasia is easier to carry out in the USA than in the Netherlands.
I know that Ron Wyden (d) of Oregon was forcefully against the law that the Senate wanted to pass because he was afraid of the ramifications it might have in Oregon---I think they just passed a "right-to-die" bill, and I think that Terri's law would set precedent....
I saw the ambassador from the Netherlands on tv the other night. He said in his country they have 5 criteria to meet before someone can be euthanized.
The first one is that the patient must give consent.
