that's what the whole de novo thing was SUPPOSED to be about.. that's what congress intended and it was never done..

Yes, exactly, if they would do their jobs than this whole thing could unfold and the truth could come out, that is ALL it would take...and the congress even send something to the fed court to tell them that, which is why Whittemore gave the rehearing...only a de novo trial should have occurred, and the feeding should have begun immediately when that was granted. This is a court disobeying the people that we elect to make our laws!

Apparently, the Congress is backing away as much as the governor. Rick Santorum sounded pitiful yesterday lamenting that the judge "did not do what he was supposed to." Santorum offered no indiciation that the judge could pay a price of some kind for disobeying a law of Congress. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Santorum is a victim of the 2006 elections, after he vowed that Terri would not be starved "on my watch."
