"Some of the ones arguing most fervently for her death are "Christians" and "conservatives." "
Who?
I'd like to know. I suspect you're right because I see much apathy in the Christian community, but I'd like to know if you've heard any well-known Christians support Greer.
The problem is that some Christians think obeying "rule of law" supercedes God's law. That is the problem.
The reality, imo, is that they lack courage.
I'd hazard to guess that the National Council of Churches is on the murderer's side.
exactly! rule of law is needed to keep the peace, but when that law breaks God's laws, I will not bow to it! I will break it as often as required..
God himself told us to be law abiding EXCEPT when it conflicts with His directives..
He is my authority...not some two bit county probate judge with a deity complex.
Well, no "well-known" Christians that I know of. I was referring to others here, who claim to be "Christian" and "conservative," in the Florida senate (that King character, for instance, who claimed we were doing "God's Will" by "allowing" Terri to die), etc. There certainly have been those from both parties on the tube, both pro and con. The evil judge Greer is a republican, Jesse Jackson, Lanny Davis and Gore's ex-attorney Boise have all supported Terri. I was only trying to make the point that this isn't partisan. It's good vs evil and I'm surprised by many on both sides.
