Jeb Bush has already said that he harbors no higher aspirations for public office. That alone may have made him less likely to try to do the right thing here. He is standing behind legalisms. If he changes his mind about higher office, do you think his missed opportunity here will hurt him?
If he meant it, and if he changes his mind, and if he continues to hold back, then with me, at least, he might as well talk to a wall. I can't speak for others, but I'm sure many here would feel the same way. As a whole, I don't know. So many still think Terri is on a ventilator or other life support, so who knows how he would fare.
What I'd like to know is where is Karl Rove? They are seriously misunderstanding the depth of emotion here, that prayerfully will not end.
I think Jeb has done what he can and he has done a heck of a lot more than most governors would have and he did it when there was little to zero support for the Schindlers. I think he realizes the corruption of the courts but also knows he cannot defy them or anarchy would rule.
