Excuse me, but I'm not "bashing" anyone. I'm merely asking for some clarification, because I think maybe I missed something. If the DCF doesn't need the court's authorization, how can the courts have the authority to bar the DCF from acting?

Okay, so my next question is, how can a restraining order issued by a court bar a dept of the executive branch from acting? If a court has that kind of authority, then can a court also issue a restraining order to stop the police from enforcing the law? or to stop the military from fighting a war? This seems like a dangerous precedent in the making.
