I don't think W is cowardly...but I think he's playing politics here, and that disappoints me. Terri is an American citizen and she is being deprived of the most fundamental basics in the American creed: Life, libery, and the pursuit of happiness. I love W...he has disappointed me GREATLY, and I didn't think that could ever be possible.
I get the feeling that someone pulled in the reins on W and Congress. (I'm fearful it was Rove.) In my mind the GOP ended up playing the worst politics of all here. Making a dramatic start (although the law itself was weak) and then failing to follow through at all was cruel. It looks like the fall guy will be the attorney.
One of the things that breaks my heart the most is how Terri's family must feel knowing that they told her Sunday night that they woke up the President on her behalf and she would be going for a ride soon and having breakfast. How that must haunt them. The help never came.
