Fine, grab a gun No, we're talking about a swarm of people to overwhelm (peacefully) the people trying to kill her. Just insistent on doing what's right, not harming those who stand in their way. Getting arrested en masse for trying to save. That IS a plausible course of action. It worked for Ghandi. However you have to find people that can tolerate a little discomfort for said cause.
