I'm sure most of us have arms... and hands and legs too.
And we could just try to storm the gates with a cup of water.... and get hauled away. I personally think that mobs of people should volunteer for this kind of peaceful swamping of the guard lines, and get arrested, and fill the jails to overflowing. I suppose this will result in a suspension.
Eventually, the police will run out of handcuffs, jail cells, and police officers to haul people away.
The media would LOVE it! It would be shown on every station in America
Exactly. Storming the hospice by force of arms isn't the answer. Even if we could muster enough firepower to force our way in and not accidently kill innocent people (the point being to avoid the killing of an innocent in the first place), then what? Just inserting the tube at this point would kill her. No hospital would treat her if someone rushed in with her, for fear of retribution. The very moving of her could kill her.
So the answer is to shame the powers that be into action. It is the only thing we can do.
What is needed is not ten or twelve people being arrested for trying to take her water, but ten or twelve thousand people.
Think Gandhi at the salt plant.
A long line down around the corner and out for miles...average citizens, each with their bottle of Aquafina, stepping up, saying to the LEOs "I am here peacefully. I intend to enter her room and give her water" and then walking forward and being arrested.
Dozens, hundreds, thousands, until the civil order breaks down and she can be removed to a proper hospital.
All done peacefully.
The police previously jailed unthreatening kids. They wouldn't risk a shootout if a dozen armed grown men came in. Listen; I'm for reinserting her feeding tube but I'm also not going to blame her death on her allies.
