Why would DCF have to take their pleadings to Greer? Isn't he a Probate judge? Does he really have original jurisdiction over the new issue that DCF would be raising?

I could be wrong .. but I think it has to do with Felos filing a petition to block the DCF

I'm sure I don't know, but from reading the statutes posted, it seems the DCF is directed to go to court within 24 hours after the initial period of removal, not including weekends or holidays. As the instigator of the removal, DCF could initiate the pleadings in whatever court it determined should hear the arguments, it would seem to me.
