I don't know what you should take from it. But I also know that nothing on the face of this earth happens without God knowing about it. Is this her time? Or was her time 15 years ago? We don't know for sure, but I have prayed about it a lot and just asked that God's Will be done, not mine. I'm not going to get into my thoughts on the case because honestly I can see both sides, the side of the parents' grief and the side of a woman finally getting to go home.

But yes, it will work out in the end. No matter what we may believe, God is and always will be in control

Fine, grab a gun and some friends and go get her. If it is that simple

Despite your smartass comment, have you ever considered at what point Washington, Jefferson, Franklin, et al. personally decided "Hey, you know what? This is important enough for us to shoot those guys."?

Does such a point even exist for you?

And if he can't, nothing he's done counts, right?

If the process of murdering Terri Schiavo comes to its conclusion, then nothing anyone will have done will have counted, now will it?

I believe she will die tomorrow on Good Friday like our Lord did.

Supreme Court rejects Terri Schiavo case

PINELLAS PARK, Fla. (AP) - The U.S. Supreme Court turned down Terri Schiavo's parents Thursday, declining to intervene to keep the brain-damaged woman alive, but their supporters pressed a last-ditch effort in Florida courts. Justices didn't explain their decision, which was received by somber supporters outside the woman's hospice with bowed heads and prayers for help from Gov. Jeb Bush.
I beleieve that Vsisonary Maria Esperanza stated that an innocent would die and it would shock the whole world.....I now believe that it was Terri Schiavo she was talking about.
And this from her spiritual daughter Sadie Jamrillo:
Proclaim now, loudly as my Son’s sentinel the Day of the Lord comes! The shift of the earth’s axis brings changes from pole to pole! And as this, the roar of thunder will break sound waves announcing the approach of the heavenly body, again I repeat! Take refuge by the Tabernacle with My Son Jesus!

I already posted this once but you must have missed it:

from Probe Ministries

Francis Schaeffer said in the Christian Manifesto that if there is never a case in which a Christian would practice civil disobedience, then the state has become Lord. He said, One either confesses that God is the final authority, or one confesses that Caesar is Lord. The Bible clearly teaches that there are times when a believer must disobey civil law so that he or she can obey God's higher law.

In the Old Testament there are a number of prominent examples of civil disobedience. In Exodus 1 and 2, when Pharaoh commanded the Hebrew midwives to kill all male Hebrew babies, they lied to Pharaoh and did not carry out his command.

The book of Daniel has a number of instructive examples. In Daniel 3, for example, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego refused to bow down to the golden image and were cast into the fiery furnace.

In Daniel 6 the commissioners and satraps had King Darius make a decree that no one could make a petition to any god or man for thirty days. Daniel nevertheless continued to pray to God three times a day and was cast into the lion's den.

The most dramatic example of civil disobedience in the New Testament can be found in Acts 4 and 5. When Peter and John were commanded not to preach the gospel, their response was, "We must obey God rather than men" (Acts 5:29).

Notice that in each of these examples there are at least two common elements. First, there was a direct, specific conflict between God's law and man's law....
Second, in choosing to obey God's higher law, believers paid the normal consequence for disobedience.

I will take an oath on this, right hand up (you'll have to take my word for this). I have been keeping an eye for a long time, probably saw it on Inside Edition or a Current Affair a dog's age ago. I don't understand why it's taken so long for this to become important as it has but I honestly believe this is nothing more than America's "Princess Di" moment.

Gov Bush can't run for reelection and insists he does not want to run for president. It seems like he does not have much to lose politically by taking bold action here.

If he were to defy a court order would the legislature try to impeach him? Hard to believe that Republican controlled body would do that. Although since Senate Repubs failed to do much this time to save Terri, nothing would surprise me.

Maybe Jeb Bush was waiting for this one last ruling by Greer - denying DCF the ability to perform an investigation of new/outstanding charges of abuse, neglect & exploitation.

Greer has crapped on Florida's DCF now. This cannot stand.

Have you ever seen the movie "Zulus"? The police if under seige would form a square, similar to the British soldiers in the movie, and would fire volley after volley into the crowd until people moved back, dispersed, or were all killed. There would be a mass of dead and wounded bodies at the foot of the police formation.

Those that are making calls, faxing and emailing are trying. Those that aren't but who are insulting Jeb Bush are deplorable.

I agree with you about Jeb Bush. He's one of the bright lights in this whole thing. And people who are insulting him and not even bothering to make a phone call or send an email have no leg to stand on.

But I can't help but wish that Governor Bush would do more. It seems that judges can ignore the wish of Congress to look anew at this case, but congressmen and governors and even presidents have to fall at the feet of judges. I find that a greater threat than anything slightly "shifty" Governor Bush might do in an attempt to save Terri. I'm more worried what might happen in this country if Bush doesn't act that if he does.

Eichmann never pulled a trigger, like Greer he was a mid level bureaucrat, a funtionary......But what he particiapted in was murder none the less.

And go figure, liberals seem to think it's OK to kill what they consider to be 'little Eichmanns.'

Uh-huh.

For record my principles were not violated by electing the President, Jeb Bush or the Republicans. I'm proud of them of the measures they have gone within constitutiional authority to save her life. I didn't elect vigilante's.

"Finally, with all of the allegations against Michael why was he never charged with at least spousal abuse before or after the onset of Terri's condition? If all that is alleged is true Michael would have had to conspire with scores of Florida officials, spanning at least 3 administrations, in Florida to get away with it for 15 years."

The possibility has occurred to me that none of those allegations are true, and that's why no prosecution ever took place. Could that be the answer to your question?

Thanks. As a fellow atheist (or agnostic, depending on my crankiness quotient) I like seeing people reminded of that. I'm also for saving this woman from being murdered, but it seems that doesn't cut it with some once they find out it's for moral and ethical and not religious reasons. ;)
