BTW I think the listeners/viewers have been instrumental in getting them to pay attention.
LoL. You're a fool. FL legistslature is not going to do such a thing. LoL!
"No judge wants to overturn another judge out of fear someone might challenge their own infallible genius someday.
"
More nonsense. Judicial decisions get overturned all the time. That's what appellate courts do, if they have a legal reason to do it.
Yeah - didn't Lincoln assume essentially totalitarian powers during the Civil War? I'm not being sarcastic, either. He literally took over the Congress.
I love the fishing here in Utah...
Do you find it eerie how the sky is weeping here today!
Glenn Beck has covered this story for about five years.
You must be assuming that we have any shred of respect for the judiciary left. Most of us don't. It is not just this ruling, but many, on many cases, that we have come to the conclusion that the legal system is broken, with no justice left in it. Lady Justice is no longer blind. She has been made deaf and dumb as well.
I just ran through the caclulus as if it were my daughter....
Why is that if people don't do what we would do or when we would do it or how we would do it, we challenge their motives? We are eating our own. I know from personal experience. I had to apologize once today already on another thread for saying something I later regretted. Slow down, think, before we post.
Because collectively, we are a lazy people who don't like to be inconvenienced. We talk a big talk but walk with our tails tucked between our legs. Until something of this sort affects us personally, we are often comfortable with expressing our indination but otherwise remaining within our comfort zone.
I am tired of being comfortable and complacent.
Too late for that...that would have had to have been done before they ruled she wanted to refuse medical treatment...
A warning to those thinking about this in future years...timing counts.
Christ's teaching on compassion dictates that individuals should be engaged in acts of mercy. If anything, Terri is an example of one sho should be the recipient of that mercy.
The species and extent of Christ's suffering cannot be compared to the suffering of Terri. To suggest any comparison at all is blasphemous.
Actually any serious reflection on our afflictions should cause us to meditate on the serious of sin, the fact that death comes through sin and that we all need a Savior.
Engage in any ridiculous comparisons you want. Just let us know when you decide to beatify Terri Schiavo.
Yeah, and I can't live for others. I posted more because I wanted to call myself on it more than anything else. To commit it to 'paper' in front of others, kind of raised the stakes in my own decision process.
Just broke: FLORIDA STATE JUDGE DENIES MOTION TO INTERVENE IN SCHIAVO CUSTODY MATTER What can be done now??? Anyone know what options the parents have now?
I hope you aren't recommending that. I realize that what is happening in Florida is dreadful, but think of what you are saying.
"Florida is filled with old folks -- they should be marching and wheeling themselves in droves through the hospice doors, for what this portends for them. "
What you forget is that a large percentage of those old folks have living wills all made out, saying that they don't want their lives maintained by extraordinary measures. Why would they march?
ahh the elian gonzales manuver, perfect! Does she have any unpaid parking tickets? Maybe some unreturned library books? Did she file a 1040 last year? It should be pretty easy to arrest her on something.
Just for future reference - are you, in particular, an anti-Christ, or is that an affliction that strikes all atheists?
I'm not suprised Geer did this
IMO ... He sure is over stepping his bounds of the law
Has anyone considered maybe it is Terri's time to go?
The Father is calling her to sit at his right hand.
She will be saved, and Terri will live, eternally.
This a wake up call to our society! As Pope John Paul II stated 10 years ago, We are entering the "Culture of Death"
