GET READY FOR THE HUGE BACKLASH

1) News reports are saying that protesters hoping that Terri will not be killed are turning their anger towards Jeb Bush

2) Read the posts here, people are attacking others who feel Jeb or W. have the power to save Terri.

3) Jeb's bravado at yesterday's press conference where he intentionally or unintentionally raised people's hopes is backfiring due to the lack of follow thru.

4) The moderators are pulling all posts that even suggest or want to discuss the potential backlash as if that will prevent one.

5) Even as I write a caller is discussing this with RUSH.

I'm sorry, there are alot of losers here. Terri of course is the biggest, her parents next, our country AND our politicians who fairly or not are appearing impotent. Don't attack me for not understanding the law and for pushing illegal action. I'm simply saying that this is a horrible episode in our nations history and many, rightly or wrongly, will assign blame.

I don't have the answer, I'm only observing.

Sounds like a Jeff Foxworthy Joke:
You could be a redneck if...you issued an arrest warrant on a traffic ticket for a woman who's eight months pregnant.

I agree 100%. Plus, I continue to pray. God will always be there to offer us consolation, so we do not need to give up hope now to get that consolation. I continue to pray that Jeb Bush/DCF rescue Terri.

Any Freepers with me on this?

A lot of them are just frazzled and wishing and longing and want Terri to be saved so very much...logic and desire are at cross purposes...

I had heard that she had been given pills for menstrual cramps, too. That she would groan and point to her stomach and they'd give her something for the pain.

They expect President Bush and his brother to act like dictators.

Yes, they do - forgetting, of course, what a problem that sort of action could cause down the road.

And if President and Governor Bush do not respond to their pressure, they'll make offensive comparisons to Pontius Pilate and withdraw their political support. Nice.

"Did you miss the threads and posts calling for President Bush to issue an executive order or send in the troops, regardless of his authority granted by the Constitution? Just do it, man! In essence, calling for the president to act as a dictator, rather than as the constitutional head of the executive branch of the federal government."

No, I saw those, and just thought they were trolls, sent over from DU.

One example of the use of Executive Powers is President Lincoln at the start of the Civil War. Nowhere in the Constitution does it specifically state before the Civil War that a State could not leave the Union. President Lincoln USED his Executive powers to force the succeeding states to return to the Union. Now what would you call Lincoln or a President who took steps as head of the Executive to save the Union? Also, Lincoln freed the Slaves by Executive Order, we know it as the Emancipation Proclamation. Lets not forget that the Supreme Court in the Dred Scott decision legalized Slavery in America. So God Forbid, a President, Lincoln, overturned a Supreme Court decision by an Executive Order.

Let me try to explain this "rationally". Neither G.W. nor Jeb Bush is a dictator, but they have ceded whatever powers they have under law in this case to Greer, thus making HIM a dictator. If the governor of the state of Florida refuses to exercise his lawful power to save Mrs. Schiavo's life, he has become an accomplice in causing her death. same with the Prez. There are many, many instances, this one included, where there is no bright line between the authority of the executive branch and the judicial branch. In those instances, the power belongs to whichever branch acts to use its authority. Greer's power exists only in the vacuum created when elected leaders refuse to lead.

Those people are not us... I belive that is what the MSM want. Our people are compassionate, and caring. We do not act in violence. God is our leader and We who belive in Him, Know, we tried and the rest is out of our hands.

Terri is soon to be in a much better place. Earth does not deserve what this precious one has done.. without uttering a word.

Again, I suggested this yesterday as well...

Anyone calling for the impeachment of Greer, Whittemore, or any other judge who has not rule the way they want them to rule should be demanding for the impeachment of Jeb and George W Bush.

Not acting IS an action.

Than you deliberately took it out of context to make a point. Same result.
