The worst possible situation is them trying to take custody only to find her already dead.
i stand amazed at the people who are ready to put this whole barbarism at the feet of Jeb - (Well, the left would like to create the illusion that Terri's dying becasue of Jeb and "W". I think we have be alert to that.)
I wont go into all the reasons why - it seems some want him to come and grandstand - Jeb and "W" don't do that. They operate quietly to do all they can - it isn't over yet.
I, for one, will keep the blame where it belongs -
Don't forget, Jeb saved her before, with no eye on how it would affect him politically. Jeb and "W" don't run out every morning, like other politic ans we could name, and stick their finger in the air to see which way the wind is blowing.
Hang in there -
So you're saying for sure that if he acted, it would be legal? IS so....and Greer says NO to taking custody of her, then Jeb---IF LEGAL ---will no doubt take her out. Why wouldn't he?
Such is the attitude of cowards. Whatever happened to "do what you ought, come what may". Have you forgotten that a woman's LIFE is at stake here?
What I condemn are those demanding Jeb commit this action when THEY are not the ones making the sacrifice.
THEY are not the Governor of Florida. HE has the power and responsibility to do something, THEY don't. And with leadership comes RESPONSIBILITIES. And sometimes the demand for sacrifices which the followers don't have to make. If you can't stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen, or at least don't run for public office.
That if he chooses otherwise he is akin to an accessory of evil. I don't believe that.
Well, I do. Just like a policeman who stands idly by while a woman is raped, becomes GUILTY of the rape himself. He has the sworn DUTY to do something about it, even if it costs him his life. If he refuses he is a despicable COWARD. Now here we have absolute attempted MURDER by Judge Greer. SOMEBODY has to stand up and oppose him. If not the Governor of Florida, THEN WHO??? You say you are worried about what the end result will be if Jeb intervenes. I'm worried about what the result will be if he cowardly refuses, and judges become even more emboldened to kill with impunity.
I believe this is in God's hands. IF it be his will, I do believe Jeb would intervene. If not, there may be another purpose. I'm on Terri's side, but I'm also on Jeb's side.
It's certainly God's will that Jeb carry out his sworn duty to protect innocent human life in the State of Florida.
And, since so many religious comparisons are being made I will also state this. Christ could have rescued himself from his sentence. He had another greater purpose in mind.
More rationalization of cowardice. God permits evil for a greater good. That doesn't give us the right to refuse our own obligations to fight evil.
WHERE IS JANET RENO WHEN WE NEED HER?
CNN took it off their webpage. They jumped the gun and put out the obvious early.
Saving a life is NEVER unlawful or unconstitutional, I don't care what any idiot judge says.
CNN.com had a banner stating Greer had ruled against them. Now it's gone. I've checked there and MSNBC.
As emotionally involved as we all are in saving Terri's life, and the wish that someone would DO something, what you have suggested the President do is ridiculous.
somebody please explain what that press conference was about yesterday?
Now, I am truly beginning to believe that these guys are just pandering to the voters.
'See everybody, I tried.'
I don't normally watch CNN. I was switching channels to see if I could find anything out.
Maybe THEY are linked to Greer TOO!
"The worst possible situation is them trying to take custody only to find her already dead."
No, the worst case is for them to take custody and have her die shortly after they take custody. You cannot imagine the uproar in that instance.
If Terri dies, should we young Caucasian married women start rioting and burning our own neighborhoods? Said in jest, but I'll bet if Terri were hispanic or black and Michael still white, the ACLU would be in there by now....
Call me cynical, but it may be that Greer is dragging his feet to ensure a Culture of Death "victory
Yes you are right. It will be a victory for the Eugenics Movement
Yes, and what happened to Tom DeLay who wasn't going to let "some little judge in Florida" mess with a Congressional order? Where are all those federal marshalls who were going to hold Greer accountable?
Nevermind...
