This breaks my heart ... this past year, I've lost a number of people (my boyfriend, boss, co-worker, cousin, a couple of good friends). While their losses were so difficult, it opened my eyes to how beautiful and wonderful life truly is, even if its not perfect and daises and rainbows and roses. In fact, thats truly the beauty of life - getting through the tough stuff.
Its awful that these men are so hard and cold and oblivious to the beauty of life.

What do you suggest he do, storm the place with soldiers with their weapons drawn as Janet Reno did with Elian Gonzalez? Do you want the Gov. of Florida in jail?
____________________________
IF THAT IS WHAT IT TAKES. Just as Martin Luther King Jr. when he defied the segregation laws and went to jail. Jeb's defense is that he answers to a higher Power. Higher than county judge Greer. When did he become GOD? Oh, yeah, when Felos slithered into this case. Mr. Fascinated-With-Death, Esquire. Any review of this filthy creature's career shows he's a wannabe serial killer who went to law school. He's like the kids who pull the wings off a butterfly just to see what happens, the kind who hurts animals, the kind who wants to "experience" death by watching someone else die. I cannot forgive this. I cannot come to terms with this.

Does anyone here know if there is anything else that either the president or Jeb can do? Legally or not?

Call me naive, but perhaps it's a good sign the ruling has been delayed. It seems to me if Greer were just going to deny the request without much thought, he would have done so already. Perhaps he's finding a way to grant the request while still saving face. Again, I'm probably being naive.

Can anyone tell me why Governor Bush has to request permission from Greer before he acts? I don't mean that as a rhetorical question--I really want to know. Probably someone has already answered this question, but I can't find it. I don't understand how Bush, the governor, is subordinate to a judge. And another question: doesn't the DCF act first, then go through the legal loopholes? Has that agency ever before waited for permission from a judge? I'm trying to catch up here--what am I missing?

Good question. Maybe because there is nothing in it for him. Or he simply doesn't care.

I see the hand of God moving here; the timing of this deliberate torture-murder of an innocent and helpless soul as we approach Easter, is simply too astonishing and remarkable to be mere coincidence. That doesn't mean that God caused this. Far from it. It is the adversary's doing, but God will not fail Terri Schiavo even if evil has its way in the short term. I have thought this too. I pray that this is the beginning of the awakening of the US and the return to God. I fear for my country if it is only the beginning of a dark night of the culture of death.

I was thinking the same thing, but then I thought, maybe he is doing it purposely to cause more pain to the family.

I apologize for referring the post from the same blog (blogsforterri.com) that CNN has reported Greer denied at noon--not watching CNN, and was unsubstantiated it turns out. Although someone from the same blog, says they got through to Gov. office:
I got through the Governors office again, and receptionist who picks up the phone sounded to be in tears. I said impeach the judge, she says a lot of people want to. They can not comment anymore. She said they are trying everything. I guess if its not by force there is nothing more that can be done. Wanted to update everyone. I have never prayed so hard for a miracle.

Actually the law is clear, and that is why all the Judges and Courts have ruled the way they have.
But, you are right, either way this goes, it corrupts the laws we live by in the USA. But, there is a higher law.
What is a shame, is The President, The Legislature, and the Judicial System are playing politics over a woman's life. They have allowed several other lives to end while this case gets the media, and The Politicians are using the limelight for their own gain.
