I noticed in another post of yours that you made mention of Judge Bork, and then implied that there might be something untoward going on between her family and their legal team (who are boobs, btw, if you ask me). Do you mind elaborating a bit more on that?

Also, I don't want to give the impression that I don't want her to be able to go back to her parents. I'm a good Italian girl who thinks her next of kin is really her Mom, being that her husband moved on with Jody what's her name.

And finally, it is astounding to see that there wasn't to be found in the Judical Square a quarter that was willing to give Terri any succor or pity. If she passes away, and I think she will, there is not one part of the Judiciary that didn't have a hand in her demise. It is absolutely chilling.

I really shouldn't be joking around, but a little levity is sometimes needed. Thanks for the opportunity.

Tell me, grams, what exactly are the "laws of the country"? And who, exactly, tells you when and how you are obliged to obey them? Did they ever teach you about the co-equal branches of government, or did they tell you to accept judicial oligarchy (you can look that one up, since it may not have been programmed into you)? I guess your real problem was to have been educated back in the days when schools and teachers taught you to blindly obey, rather than to think about what laws actually mean, which ones apply, and how they can be used. But you just keep on sippin' that kool-aid, while your freedoms are eroded one by one.

You're welcome. We all are dealing with this in our own ways... I get through stuff like this through prayer, and having fun with raving nutters...

(Like I said, I'm not perfect)

To: anyone

I have read on here a couple times, that MS wanted Terri cremated quickly. Is there any documentation of this fact?

I think he petitioned the court for permission to do that, yes. It's in the court records somewhere, I believe.

Did you read Ann Coulter's column? She says Greer also once denied protection to a woman whose husband later killed her. Seems like he has a track record of not being concerned about women's safety.

Ann also agrees-- Gov Bush could act and end this all right now. I don't know why he doesn't. Clinton and Reno didn't care about the rule of law with Waco and Elian. Jeb must act to save a woman's life.

Make NO mistake.....if Terri is cremated, there is NO way that murder could EVER be proven. NOR neglect. NOR abuse.

Guess that's Schiavo's whole point of cremation. I'm still naive enough to believe this could be one of those instances where murder is proved without having a body. Like that lawyer or rep or someone in the northeast and they never found the girlfriend's body because he dumped it at sea. Can't recall the name. Is A&E having some special tonight on Terri's case?

michael has long ago petitioned the court and been given permission - by Greer - to not only have immediate cremation - but allowed was, according to report, allowed to prepay out of Terri's therapy funds -

well, there was plenty of money, I guess, since he forbade any therapy - or even normal medical treatment when she had a cold or urinary infections

actually, in "my" day, students were taught the Constitution, Bill of Rights, etc - not kept from them and taught a socialist revision -

neither were we taught the lifeboat game, like kids are today - you know the one: Students are given a problem to solve - a ship has sunk and in the lifeboat are a mixture of people, including an elderly person and a disabled one. the lifeboat has two too many in it for all to survive. The students are to decide who gets thrown overboard - getting the picture.

Unfortunately, you misconstrued my comment as a desire to see our President break the law or fail to support the Constitution. Such is not the case.

I have observed that often, laws, when tested, are found to be unconstitutional.

When considering signing such a law, I would hope the principle of "THE LAW IS MADE FOR MAN, NOT MAN FOR THE LAW" is uppermost in the conscience of our President and Congress.
Sincerely,
sp

To his credit in my eyes, Judge Wilson did say in his dissent that Mrs. Schiavo should be given sustenance:

I strongly dissent from the majority’s decision to deny the request for an injunction pursuant to the All Writs Act and the request for a preliminary injunction. First, Plaintiffs have demonstrated their entitlement to a preliminary injunction. Second, the denial of Plaintiffs’ request for an injunction frustrates Congress’s intent, which is to maintain the status quo by keeping Theresa Schiavo alive until the federal courts have a new and adequate opportunity to consider the constitutional issues raised by Plaintiffs. The entire purpose for the statute was to give the federal courts an opportunity to consider the merits of Plaintiffs’ constitutional claims with a fresh set of eyes. Denial of Plaintiffs’ petition cuts sharply against that intent, which is evident to me from the language of the statute, as well as the swift and unprecedented manner of its enactment. Theresa Schiavo’s death, which is imminent, effectively ends the litigation without a fair opportunity to fully consider the merits of Plaintiffs’ constitutional claims.

We should, at minimum, grant Plaintiffs’ All Writs Petition for emergency injunctive relief. First, I note that there is no precedent that prohibits our granting of this petition. Second, mindful of equitable principles, the extraordinary circumstances presented by this appeal require that we grant the petition to preserve federal jurisdiction and permit the opportunity to give Plaintiffs’ claims the full and meaningful review they deserve.
