The big problem is that those of us who think Mrs. Schiavo shouldn't be starved appear to be in the minority. I know others have pointed out problems with those polls, but the fact remains that this case is very complicated and requires a great deal of time to even aquire a limited amount of knowledge. Most people are not following this as closely as we are here, and unfortunately, come down on the other side.
My mother said she'd never allow her girls (that would include me!) to live and look like that. When I'd share with her what I learned here, she blew it off because it came that 'that damned internet'. Just yesterday, when more of what we've known began being on the news, she said maybe what I was telling her a year ago was true. I think alot of folks are like my mom, only now understanding all this case embodies. A bit late for Terri tho.
My Husband and I spoke in detail last night about these issues and decided that if one of us become unable to speak for ourselves, the other three of us (we have 2 daughters) must have a consensus..if one of us feels there is hope, then we will support that belief.
Prayers for Terri, her family and friends. Also, prayers for Michael and his supporters, I know alot of them sincerely believe he is right.
