Yes, I agree. JunkYardBlog http://junkyardblog.net/archives/week_2005_03_20.html#004121 covers how this happened in Florida and cites two other blogs worth reading, one of which is entitled "Something Fishy's Going on In Pinellas." Events are moving so fast, I haven't had time to look into the details.

US Dept of Health and Human Services is currently trying to collect $14.8 million from Florida Suncoast Hospice, owed to them since 1997. The squeaki-clean(not) Hospice is accused of patient brokering and several lawsuits filed by Attorney Jonathan Alpert are pending.
Terry illegally there and Medicaid paying. Someone with 40,000 is not elligible for Medicaid. A bunch oif people are making money off this hospice, it seems.
