Heavenly Father, we return to thank You for the prayers of the saints that have sustained this mother's child through these days and nights. Stand watch over her, O Lord ... soothe her brow and ease her breathing ... diminish her pain by the touch of Your hand. Minister to her in these dark hours with heavenly words of comfort ... may she hear the angelic host ... may her heart be uplifted, even in her agony. Make haste, O God, to rescue her from this torment. Protect her from irreversible harm, whether in this present suffering or from further injury by those who seek her life. Deny them their sacrifice, O Lord ... proclaim anew that in Your hand is the life of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind.

Take hold of the agony of mother and father and sister and brother ... let not the weight of this horror completely overtake them, but give them hope and encouragement, for they have fought so long for their wounded child. Vindicate their love, O God ... vindicate their love. Let them stand before the world as a testimony to the exquisite love of parent for child ... unbroken by circumstance and unrelenting in faith. Soon, Lord Jesus, soon may they again hold their beloved, that they might nurture her once again to the fullness of health and capability. A big amen to your prayer, Pegita!!

I've often wondered how Terri's Mom, Dad, Brother and Sister can hang on like they do. I've then decided it must be all the prayers for them, that allow them to put one foot in front of the other.

Your prayers have surely played a part of sustaining them. When I see your prayers here on the board, I read along and say a big amen.
