I'm sure Congress would have access to lawyers that could have helped.
I would assume so, but all the criticism of the briefs makes me wonder if Congress dropped the ball.
In any case the true problem lies with the black robes: Playing legal games rather than seeking and executing justice while a woman dies a slow, cruel death. The meaning and intent of the new law was clear. They've made a fatal error they will regret in years ahead.
