I spoke with Terri's mom, Mary, about tonight's hearing before Judge James Whittemore. She said it was terrible. Judge Whittemore made it very clear that he was not on Terri's side. Judge Whittemore chastised attorney David Gibbs for stating that Terri's death by starvation was murder. Judge Whittemore indicated he was offended by the word.
Brother Paul of the Franciscan Brothers for Peace (and close friend of the Schindlers)also attended tonight's hearing. He also said that it went very bad.
They feel the judge will dismiss the motions. At the conclusion of the hearing, Judge Whittemore told the Schindlers that he will take his time to make a decision and that they should go home, get something to eat, and some rest.
Judge Whittemore is a jerk just like Greer.
He told them to go home and eat? How cruel.
Good God Almighty, give us strength.
The Truth offended the Pharisees, 2000 years ago. He offends them still, today. Prayers for the Schindlers. God comfort them. Prayers for Terri. God comfort her. God is on the Throne. God is in control. There is nothing that happens that He doesn't allow. He knows all, sees all. God is the ultimate Judge of all. He makes things done in secret, known. "Vengeance is Mine," sayeth the Lord. Lord, come quickly.
This report of the judge's behavior offends me. He is clearly stalling as he waits for report of the Mrs. Schiavo's demise.

Of course he will take his time. This has been obvious since his first tantrum.
Judge Whittemore is a jerk just like Greer.
That he is. That's been obvious with his dilatory ways.
I'm very sad. :(

15 years they've lived this nightmare. Unreal.
And how much longer than that did Terri live HER nightmare being married to ms.
Whittemore arose from the Florida cesspool of judicial rubber stamping and he is continuing the tradition ... but why ?
Oh no. Poor Mary....I don't know how she can stand it.
Where did you talk to her? Does she know that people are praying for Terri?
This is .................indescribable.
your name seems to be a lot like mine
I know she's in pain, and it's water under the bridge, but has anyone asked her why they don't have a high-powered federal litigation specialist (a conservative from the ranks of the Federalist Society) representing them?
Also, why they had to link up with Randall Terry - a sure way to turn off the media, just when they need to generate as much sympathetic publicity as possible? Has anyone asked the family these no-brainer questions? I find it incredibly frustrating that they've allowed a mediocre attorney to draw up their pleadings, and one of the most controversial people on the pro-life side (Randall Terry) to be their spokesman. (And I'm pro-life - but I understand the demands of PR, especially in a life-or-death emergency situation)

Is Terri allowed to have flowers? I would like to send an Easter lilly. Maybe FReepers and others could flood the place with Easter Lillies. Please let me know as I don't know whom else to ask!!!!!!!
Yup, Everyone who doesn't agree with slanders like referring to a statutorily-authorized removal of life support as 'murder' is, oh, a 'jerk.' Right. Name-calling so befits your callous agenda.
