’Tis the blessèd hour of prayer, when our hearts lowly bend,
And we gather to Jesus, our Savior and Friend;
If we come to Him in faith, His protection to share,
What a balm for the weary, O how sweet to be there!

Refrain

Blessèd hour of prayer, blessèd hour of prayer,
What a balm for the weary, O how sweet to be there!

’Tis the blessèd hour of prayer, when the Savior draws near,
With a tender compassion His children to hear;
When He tells us we may cast at His feet every care,
What a balm for the weary, O how sweet to be there!

Refrain

’Tis the blessèd hour of prayer, when the tempted and tried
To the Savior Who loves them their sorrow confide;
With a sympathizing heart He removes every care;
What a balm for the weary, O how sweet to be there!

Refrain

At the blessèd hour of prayer, trusting Him, we believe
That the blessing we’re needing we’ll surely receive;
In the fullness of the trust we shall lose every care;
What a balm for the weary, O how sweet to be there!

Refrain

Could we perhaps have a separate prayer thread for Terri and one just devoted to a discussion of what's going on legally, politically, and morally? Scrolling past these long prayers is getting tiresome.

That's so beautiful! Isn't it strange how when you give something over to the Lord, you actually do feel the burden lift? Trusting Him with Terri is the best thing we can all do at this point. I don't know what the ruling from Judge Whittemore will be, but my prayer tonight has been for the Holy Spirit to lead him to make the decision Jesus would want him to make & to have compassion on Terri & her family. Whether he does that or not.. who knows. All I know is I feel peace and trust in the Lord.

"God, comfort Terri & her family tonight and somehow let them all feel the love YOU have for them... thank you for my prayer warrior friends in here & all over the internet... grant us all mercy, peace & the assurance that you are in control & still sitting on your throne. And thank you for reminding us that one day, EVERY knee shall bow before you - the King of kings & Lord of lords... amen."
