O my Jesus,
tortured,
beaten,
bloody,
mocked,
and stripped of all,
who laid down your freedom
willingly,
knowing what we are,
what we have done
and are likely to do again.
Our hands are not clean, Lord,
never could we be worthy
to be given what you offer us,
your own dear self,
your own body and blood,
medicine beyond all others.
Yet you call us home
to wash us,
heal us,
renew us.
Teach us how to love!
And be with Terri, especially,
and with all who love and care for her.
Amen.
Coming Attractions -- Stephen Curtis Chapman
A day is coming when all will be fed
There won't be a single hungry mouth begging for bread
A day is coming when every disease
Will be swept away as mercy floods through every street
A day is coming
A day is coming
A day is coming
But until that day comes
Let Your kingdom come in me
Let Your will be done in me
Here on earth as it is and as it will be in Heaven
Show Your glory to the world
Tell Your story to the world
Let my life be a preview of coming attractions
Yeah, coming Attractions
A day is coming that won't fade to night
There'll be no more hatred to endure, no wars to fight
There'll be no orphans, no prisoners or slaves
And all the tears of death and pain will be washed away
This day is coming
It's surely coming
Jesus, you're coming
But until that day comes
Let Your kingdom come in me
Let Your will be done in me
Here on earth as it is and as it will be in heaven
Show Your glory to the world
Tell Your story to the world
Let my life be a preview of coming attractions
Shine Your light through me
Live Your life through me
Let the world see Your kingdom come in me
What thou, my Lord, has suffered
was all for sinners' gain;
mine, mine was the transgression,
but thine the deadly pain.
Lo, here I fall, my Savior!
'Tis I deserve thy place;
look on me with thy favor,
vouchsafe to me thy grace.
What language shall I borrow
to thank thee, dearest friend,
for this thy dying sorrow,
thy pity without end?
O make me thine forever;
and should I fainting be,
Lord, let me never, never
outlive my love for thee.
Amen
