Savage noted on his program Thursday that national religious leaders seem absent from Terri's fight. He said there is a collusion between Republican and religous leaders, where the latter are tossed a few crumbs from the political table to keep them in line on election day. Savage specificially mentioned Franklin Graham, who he did not think had come to Terri's defense, but of course perhaps Mr. Graham has done so. Graham's father is now largely out of the public limelight. Savage said that he thought Catholics had done the most for Terri, but he did not mention liberal priests who support euthanasia.
