Dear Father,
We come before you humbled. Humbled by the absolute knowledge that this is YOUR world. We are humbled by the realization that without you, we are nothing. Whatever peace, happiness and contentment we have today, is because of you, Father.
Father, we beg you to cleanse our souls of any vestiges of hatred, rancor, or animosity we feel towards the people involved in the hurt being done to your daughter Terri. We know that you hear our words, and in our praise and love for you, let us come to you with pure hearts. We have fought Your battle for Terri, but perhaps not always with a loving spirit. Cleanse our hearts Lord, so that your love will shine thru all that we do.
Teach us anew your lessons to love our enemies (Matthew 5:43-48); remind us to pray with hearts filled with love for ALL your children; help us to remember to pray and praise you with pure motives and not for self-serving reasons; and teach us to put our trust and reliance completely on you, and not man.
We are learning valuable lessons, Father, to rely completely on you; to not judge; to value even the least among us. Help us to remember these lessons, so that when we are troubled and grieved, we immediately turn to you.
Father, we bow our head and knees to you. Thank you for your comfort and the unconditional love you shower upon us. May we continue to learn to do the same with all we encounter so we will grow strong in your sight.
