I have just sent the following to Jeb Bush:
Dear Governor Bush,
2500 years ago, a Jewish queen of the Persian empire,
Esther faced a situation similar to yours. She could
act to save lives but at potentially great risk to
herself. If she entered the court without permission,
the king could have had her killed but without her attempt,
her people, the Jews were scheduled for extermination.
She hesitated until her uncle said to her,
"WHO KNOWS, BUT THAT YOU HAVE COME TO THE KINGDOM
FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS?"
Governor Bsh, I know that action on your part is risky but
inaction is disaster. Please act NOW. DO not wait for
permission. "WHO KNOWS, BUT THAT YOU HAVE COME TO OFFICE
FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS?"
You are in my prayers.
Well said. Esther did lay it all on the line.
