for those of us who have not spoken out
when we saw the evil done,

for those who knew the consequences of our actions,
but did them anyway
because they felt good
or seemed appropriate
even though they encouraged the dark.
O Lord, you are light
Teach us to be laterns for your light
to carry your truth everywhere
to shine light into the crevasses where darkness hides,
