What is the latest on Terri's condition?
I can't believe that the 'mods' close the thread down when it reaches 5K posts.........there is an ongoing thread about ZOTS that has more than 16,000 posts to it.
Report back later!
Greer violated a federal subpoena so what the heck, Bush can violate one of Greer's orders that he had no jurisdiction to issue in the first place. Greer is not in office legally----he failed to qualify. Therefore, he is not a de jure officer. He has never had legal title to the office---one must first be a de jure officer before he can claim to be a de facto officer. Greer BY RULE OF LAW that he loves to tout that he's such a stickler for----does not have and never has had jurisdiciton in the Schiavo case. His death order and all restraining orders and other papers he issues are invalid. WHY WONT THE ATTORNEYS CHALLENGE THE JURISDICTIONAL ISSUE!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't take a bet like that, not because of the dollar amount, but because you are 100% correct. thanks
Thanks for quoting Scripture. It was comforting and brought tears to my eyes. God bless you.
Godspeed, FV. May angels protect you as you face the enemy.
Your beautiful song has filled my heart, Pollywog.
In the middle of our troubles, I feel blessed, and am so grateful for you.
Hey, Scoop, thank you for all you guys have been doing at TEJ. Your tireless efforts to let the truth be known have been a catalyst in getting so many legislators behind the attempt to save Terri. Keep up the good work, and watch your back.
We've lobbied the state Senators HARD this past week, trying to get just three swing votes to come our way. On Wednesday, the bill that could have saved Terri Schiavo from being starved to DEATH was defeated... by just three votes.
There were a number of Senators who told us they were either with us, or would abstain from voting... but they LIED to us, and voted against the bill. It was a disgusting display of politics, while this woman lies dying.
But there was GOOD news, too.
At 2:00pm, we got a meeting between folks from RightMarch (William Greene and our attorney, Larry Klayman) and Governor Bush's chief counsel (his top lawyer on staff). We presented information on why the Governor has the authority RIGHT NOW under Florida Law and the state constitution to take Terri into protective custody NOW, and save her life.
One hour later, Gov. Bush held a press conference announcing that he believes he has the authority to take Terri into protective custody.
That was GREAT news... except, he DIDN'T DO IT. Instead of stepping right in and saving Terri's life, he waited until Judge Greer (who ordered Terri to be starved to death) issued an order forbidding the Governor or his agencies to get involved.
This is OUTRAGEOUS. Governor Bush needs to step up to the plate NOW, and exercise his constitutional and legal authority NOW, before Terri dies. But he doesn't seem to be willing to take that chance and do it... so we thought we should help encourage him.
So once more, we need YOUR help.
We need EVERYONE READING THIS EMAIL to call Governor Jeb Bush RIGHT AWAY, and ask him to do one simple thing:
"PLEASE EXERCISE YOUR LEGAL AUTHORITY, AND TAKE TERRI SCHIAVO INTO PROTECTIVE CUSTODY RIGHT AWAY."
That's all we're asking you to do. Just call Gov. Bush NOW and beg him to save Terri's life.
TAKE ACTION: PLEASE call Governor Jeb Bush's office NOW at 850-488-4441 (or fax him at 850-487-0801), asking him to exercise the executive powers he ALREADY HAS, and take custody of Terri Schiavo to save her from being starved to death. We've already met one-on-one with Gov. Bush's General Counsel lawyers, showing them point-by-point exactly why the Governor DOES have those powers right NOW. On Thursday, we're also bringing in Alan Keyes and Larry Klayman to try to meet with the Governor and urge him to take Terri into protective custody. Call Gov. Bush NOW and ask him to USE his legal powers to save Terri's life. You can also e-mail him at jeb@myflorida.com .
In listening to all the talking head lawyers last night, one thing that was mentioned by many of them is that SCOTUS would be concerned that the integrity of the court system not be impuned. When the whole case revolves around a crooked judge that has continually been backed up by higher court judges, I don't see how they could rule in an intellectually honest way with that kind of thinking.
yes, good points. I'd sit on that ammo and use it among all the other reasons, after DCF takes independent action
Godspeed. Praying for you, for the governor. Lord, please fill these men with courage and give them the strength to stand up to defy the Evil One.
Shezza you have said it so well. Floriduh Voter is Terri's Special Angel and Friend!
Now we have an entire family with precious children leading us. They are heroes too. We will keep them in our hearts always.
"Praying God's special blessings on those who have given up their time, their vacations, their Spring Break (thinking of the precious Keys children from Texas), their liberty, even their own sustenance on a fast in order to speak up for Terri. "Whatever you do unto the least of these, you do unto Me."
i have thought of stuff like that but I am trying to keep positive, the best would be for Terri to get a trial by Jury,,,and of course get that tube back in today.....pray is all i can say,,,it is not over no matter what,,,everyone knows about Michael now...and especially Jeb, he is too good a man to let her die, KNOWING all he does now...
By the way, I really am going to sleep on the couch now...so ping me! Be back in a few or if word comes....
I pray that the judicial system has not turned into a "Good Ol' Boy" network, but it appears that at least in Florida, it has. Judges need to be brought back to the realization that they are only one of three co-equal branches of government, and do not wield veto power over the other two. Unfortunately, the lack of will to challenge their assinine rulings over the years has simply emboldened them to the point of their belief in their own omnipotent invincibility.
EXCELLENT ADVICE,thanks
