Hummm, a short sell on pubbies sounds like insider trading to me, but it looks like a sure winner.

The pubbies do that over and over. They start with weak knees and at the least criticism they develop a clear and present reversal of direction. It is amazing to watch them do it over and over. They have no clue that this is a game to the death with the liberals.

Good advice.. I will keep voting for the cowardly republicans until they pull my feeding tube. Then, President Bush can say "it is a sad case" and move on. The other choices for my vote are senseless. Medved has that point right. Just know that they are going to stab you in the back....get used to the feel. As for the nuclear option, it is all bluster before full scale retreat to the tall grass. They cannot cajole enough votes. Hope I am wrong.

After this week's grand show of Republican impotence, I expect a quick cave-in in the Senate too.

My view is very simple.

The Bush brothers both played Pontius Pilate last week.
They have lost my trust and respect. I will not vote for either of them for anything again.

The Republican party is itself on life support. They can still recover and retain my vote if they execute the nuclear option, or otherwise act to get past the Democratic filibuster and get conservative judges on the bench. If they will not do it and the conservative nominations languish until 2006, there is nothing there in the Republican Party for me to vote for. They will have talked the talk, but won't walk the walk. I disagree with those who say that the Republicans are "better than the Democrats". No, if they won't cast the necessary votes to actually CHANGE the culture of death emanating from the judiciary, they are not better. We are still at zero either way, we just have Republicans lying to us at they will do something, while Democrats tell the truth that they want to murder babies and the infirm.

If 2006 comes and we are facing the situation that the Republicans have not gotten the judges on the bench, I will not vote for either them or the Democrats.
