Thank you , I am upset that no thought for the families of others at that hospice. I remember the the help and comfort my son {7 years old then} received from a grief counseling group for children when my husband died at a hospice in WPB. I can only imagine what it must be like for them.

My own mother died at her home but was helped greatly by hospice workers. They were fine compassionate people who help terminally ill people pass this life as pain-free and comfortable as possible.

I can only imagine the pain and horror the rest of these families at that hospice are going through as their loved ones lay dying in the circus like atmosphere there.

Probably wondering if crazed fanatics are going to invade the place at any moment, its real sad.

That particular hospice is under investigation for Medicare fraud. Add to that complaints by nurses who cared for Terri about Michael's refusal of any treatment or therapy for Terri and the doctor in charge who went along with it. I sincerely hope anyone with a loved one there is looking for other arrangements.

I am sorry you lost your husband, and it is good that the Hospice staff could give comfort to your son.
And that is their mission, but here,at Suncoast Hospice, Terri has been a resident for five years.She did not meet the criteria of a Hospice patient, she was not terminal,is not terminal now if she was not being starverd to death.
It is this Hospice that has allowed this, it is this Hospice that is allowing the media circus in front of the Hospice, it is this Hospice that is not giving good careor respect to the rest of its patients, or to their relatives and loved ones.It is their fault if the other patients and patients and families are being disrupted
