LOL. I've benn sitting here for almost 7 hours, trying to get my 5 stage RO water system to kick in. I've boosted pressure to 80 PSI, it's cold, the system is cranky and this is coming from a well. Desalizination makes things more complex. I'd love to see how well these 500 gal/day systems work in the North Sea, and how long they last.

She understood more clearly the entire situation, and why we had to show our support for Terri's right not to be murdered, than a few of the adult fringe element publicity hounds we encountered there.
Children may be naive and immature but most of them are not willfully ignorant and intentionmally cruel.
Those are faults that can only be held against adults.
If you won't teach your children, they will learn what they can from wherever they can.

Difficult situation for those officers for sure, I wouldn't want to be in their shoes. But with that said, wasn't that the excuse the German guards at Nazi concentration camps used, "we were just obeying orders"...

She's been on the hard in Annapolis all winter. Doing a bit of a refit. The water figures are primarily in the tropics, but the unit worked very well (435+)off the Virginia coast in Sept-Oct. The only problem we've had- and not a real big one- is a contaminated membrane. Have to be carefull not to run it too close to the coast.
Isn't it horrendous what is happening? Putting panties on the head of a vile terrorist is "torture", but starving and dehydrating poor Terri to death is just fine.
Yep. Some times risking civil disobedience can be justified and worthy to prevent or rectify a moral wrong, I believe this is one of those times.

Indeed. My own almost-9-year-old is simply appalled at this whole situation.
I was actually surprised that he knew so much about the case, but when a discussion of it came on the radio the other day, he was nearly in tears, saying, "How can they DO this to that lady?"
Knowing him, I think he might just have the desire to go protest himself if we lived anywhere near FLA, though it's doubtful his father and I would allow it. We would encourage him to send letters and make phone calls, however, if that's what he wanted to do.
