When you elect your judges, are you able to get information regarding all of their prior cases as well as seeing into the future on how they will rule in years to come? When I try to research candidates for the bench I find precious little information on what these judges stand for.

In all my years of voting, almost never even recognize any names of judges on the ballot except at the bottom level local court (and that sometimes). Above that, never, let alone what they stand for.

The FL Bar rules severly neuter what a judge can and can not say in the election campaign. They can basically only say "I will be fair".

There are also campaign managers who help guide serious candidates (see lawyers with money) through the process of becoming elected.

Also, for those who don't know, judicial races in FL are "nonpartisan" so you never know who is affiliated with what party. You could have three candidates and all are democrats.
