O Father God
we keep watch,
called by you,
we pray
because you led us to.
Now, Lord,
give us your fortitude and patience
to live through this time
when minutes seem like hours,
but the minutes remaining tick away far too quickly
for our sister Terri.
Be with her family.
Guide those who would protect her.
Keep her in the palm of your hand,
Amen.
