Heavenly Father, we return to thank You for the authority You have given unto men to establish governments. At Your pleasure, they rise and fall. Have mercy upon our government this day, O Lord, for the battle that rages is fierce for our national soul. May the Power of the Holy Spirit come upon the chambers where the life of this mother's child is being debated ... turn the hearts of the unrelenting to life, rather than death. We fear for Terri at the hands of those who do not know You ... may the prayers of the saints the world over sufficiently cover her ... sufficiently intercede for her ... that she will be restored to the land of the living, and not be consigned to death. O My Jesus,
forgive us our sins,
save us from the fires of hell,
lead all souls to heaven,
especially those most in need of your mercy.

We ask your mercy on Terri
and all the other people in her situation,
and all the families conflicted by end of life decisions,
and all the legislators who have to vote on these things
and all the judges who have to rule on these things.

Lord, we are frail, sinful, and likely to make the wrong choices many times in our lives.

Be with us, heal us, and show us the right way to go.
