Just a baseless hunch, but I have a better feeling about this court.
It's always good to have hope, but please don't get your hopes up. The Eleventh Circuit has had all of the paperwork since it was submitted in the district court. The fact that they haven't ruled yet is not a hopeful sign under the circumstances. I've seen rulings issued much faster in death penalty cases. If they were going to grant relief in the nature of an order to restore the feeding tube, I think they would have done it much earlier in the day. I hate to sound so pessimistic, but it sure looks like they are trying to run out the clock, hoping that the case will become moot. Please understand, I'm just telling you what I think based on my experience in the federal court system -- not what I want.
